Notice of Proposed Land Use Regulations that may affect the permissible uses of property located in the Special Flood Hazard Areas in the City limits of Harrisburg.  - APPROVED 5.13.25

The Harrisburg Special Flood Hazard Area Amending HMC 18.55 was adopted by Ordinance No. 1008 at the City Council meeting May 13, 2025.  Notice of Decision and Ordinance are below for your review.

Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Harrisburg Planning Commission, 7:00pm, HMC at 354 Smith St.

Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Harrisburg City Council, 6:30pm, HMC at 354 Smith St.

A copy of the proposed language changing HMC 18.55 will be available at the bottom of this webpage and is available for downloading.

A total of 35 properties are located inside the SFHA.  15 of these are owned by the City.  Most of the industrial property affected by the SFHA is already inside the riparian boundary, and therefore, no development would have been allowed even before the City was required to adopt this code.
