H.A.R.T. Re-energized

On July 1, 2016, the H.A.R.T. Family Resource Center left the City organization and became the HART Community Center Inc, a local non-profit organization serving the greater Harrisburg, Oregon community. New HART Center program!  The HART Center has joined with Nurturely, and is happy to announce a Positively Pregnancy program!   From October 15 through November 26, join the HART Center once a week at the Harrisburg HART Community Center! Connect with other parents, get tips, and feel supported for the postpartum journey ahead. Every Tuesday at 11am for 6 sessions. See you there! Cost: FREE!   It’s not too late to get into the class, so please contact them for more information at 541-995-7700.    Connect with other pregnant parents and gain tools to prevent postpartum challenges! Postpartum people are welcome to attend as well for general community building and support.  (See more HART Programs further down this newsletter!)

  The HART Community Center : is working hard to serve the community!     In November, they are holding the Toys for Tots promotion!   Toys for Tots is a program for children between the ages of 0-18 years old.   Citizens can drop off toys at the HART Center (Call 541-995-7700 for questions on type, and times to drop off the toys.)  and the Marine Corp Reserves also provides toys, and other age appropriate presents for children who may otherwise not get many/any presents at Christmas Time.  Please help to make their Christmas just a little brighter.  The deadline to register a child for this program is Friday, November 15^th.  You can find more information by following this link.  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSco2F8_OSFZH3ly8_BrEd5r2AND6s-XvQdi_f2ErAmPtS311w/viewform

HART Community Center Open House!   November 20^th, 5:30pm – 7:30pm.  Join them for a night of fun and community at their first open house!  Apple Cider, tea, Coffee & Cookies, and door prizes are available.  They will hold the 1^st Annual No Shave November Beard Competition (Longest, Fullest, Most Creative, and Saddest), and will also be holding an Escape Room Event.  (There will be a 10-minute Escape Room Challenge for those who think they can pass the test!)   They will also hold a Cookie Decoration Extravaganza.  Cookies are provided; your creativity is needed!  

The HART Center focuses on kids and youth in our community.
