Harrisburg - Emergency & Assistance Resources
This webpage was set up to provide information and assistance to citizens in relation to emergencies, needing assistance, and for other resources, such as access to information in relation to coronavirus.

This information includes access to locations with assistance, such as utilities, food and childcare assistance.
There are assistance programs available during the rest of the year too. Please download the list of Linn County and Benton County Food Assistance Programs at the bottom of the page. The handout includes Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties. Below are the Linn County organizations. You can also go online at oregonfoodfinder.org, or call 2-1-1 to find a pantry, free food market or meal site near you. For Snap benefit questions, call 1-800-699-9075, or find an office by visiting one.oregon.gov/general/locateanoffice.

Linn County Food Assistance Programs
Albany Helping Hands Shelter
A faith-based non-denominational organization and a 501 (c)(3) non-profit. They operate a shelter for those experiencing homelessness and a three-meal-a-day kitchen for their residents and anyone who walks through their doors.

FISH of Albany
Food: On Weekdays, volunteers distribute a 3-5 day supply of nutritionally balanced groceries partnered with USDA commodities to households in the greater Albany school district. Households can receive a food box once every 30-day period. Call the office to make an appointment for the same day. Residency will be confirmed with mail that shows names and addresses.
Snacks for Packs: A weekend food program for eligible students in a GAPS school experiencing food insecurity. Contact your school to sign up.
