Council Member Rob Boese

Title:  City Councilor

Name:  Dana Henry

Current Term:  Jan 1, 2025 to Dec 31, 2028

Council/Government Experience: City Council is Dana’s first government-related endeavor, but she has lengthy experience with committee work in the healthcare field. Dana was considering running for City Council when she received comments from three different people the same week telling her she should run, so she did! She won the seat as a write-in. Dana sees the City Council position as a “gatekeeper”, ensuring conservative small-town values are maintained. Her other priorities include completion of the long-awaited water project, community safety, as well as access to healthcare.

Dana is a native Oregonian and has been a Harrisburg resident since 2014, though she has been part of the Harrisburg community for nearly 20 years. Dana has been a nurse since 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwest University, and more recently a Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama. She also has her advanced practice nursing license as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and holds four nursing certifications. In her job she does staff education, quality improvement, and policy work. Dana and her husband Kelly have two kids, a son and a daughter, who all attend church in Harrisburg. In her free-time she enjoys knitting and crocheting, playing with her cats, yard work, and volunteering at church in multiple areas. She is also a member of several professional nursing organizations.
