Council Member Cindy Knox

Title:  City Councilor

Name:  Cindy Knox

Current Term:  Jan 1, 2023 to Dec 31, 2026

Council/Government Experience: Cindy served on the Harrisburg Parks Committee for 4.5 years (2012-2016) until it was dissolved. While on the Committee, Cindy helped with projects including work on Eagle Park's feasibility study, as well as Resolution 942 establishing a memorial policy and the development of Priceboro Park. She was appointed to the City Council on July 25, 2023 after receiving a call from Mayor Bobby Duncan asking her to consider joining. She is so glad she did as this is a group of people who truly care about our community. While on the Council, Cindy has learned so much and looks forward to being an active part of making the City of Harrisburg an even greater place to call home.

Cindy grew up in Junction City and has a Bachelor's of Science from Oregon State University. After leaving Oregon for 12 years, she returned in 1992 and settled in Harrisburg. Outside of her job at Therapeutic Associates, Cindy is the Outreach Leader at Harrisburg Christian Church and has spearheaded several projects with both the City and School District to beautify and improve our community, including landscaping at the Welcome sign on the North end of town and replacing the playground by the skate park on Smith Street.

Cindy is passionate about God, family, nature, and photography. She loves sharing her life in Harrisburg with her husband, Jeff, and spending time with her son, three daughters and three granddaughters.
