Public Works Committee
The Public Works Committee was an advisory committee to the City Council. The committee's primary responsibilities were to make recommendations to the City Council on matters pertaining to municipal water, sewer, streets, and storm drainage.
The City Council recently decided to disband the current City Committee's, and to focus on four main issues that are on the City's Strategic Plan for 2017-2021. Three of the main focus items are Public Works Related. Those are as follows:
- Water Study Project
- 4th St. Project
- Street Maintenance Project
Council will be discussing these issues in the future, and has the option to set up future AD-Hoc or Citizen Advisory Boards. If we do plan on adding a committee, we will be advertising it, as well as reaching out to anyone who has an interest in the subject.
In the meanwhile, if you have questions about Public Works Projects, you can contact our Public Works Director, Chuck Scholz at 541-995-6655 or by email at cscholz@ci.harrisburg.or.us.
