Local Business Ads
Economic development is very important to the City, so much so, that one of our main priorities this year is to enhance our outreach to existing businesses. We are pleased to announce a new (and free!) opportunity for Harrisburg businesses to advertise in our community.
Every month, the City sends utility bills to 1,300+ households and businesses in town. You may have noticed other billing inserts in the past for special events, like the 4th of July Celebration or Harvest Festival -- this monthly mailing is an effective way to get information to all City residents. This additional insert is presented as further support of commercial operations within our town.
We have designed the program to be as easy as possible, and to be fair between all of our businesses. The system is first come, first served on a monthly basis, but the priority will be for businesses who haven’t used the ad before. These aren’t large ads, with only 12 to a page; we are also including contact information for ALL of our commercial and industrial businesses. Because this is the first time the City has ever done this, please be aware that the program will likely evolve a bit as we work out the kinks.
Harrisburg businesses with a storefront or building are the priority for this program, but people who have home occupations may also participate!
- Please send us your current logo so we can have it on hand. Please provide us with an electronic file that can easily be enlarged or reduced in size.
- The monthly deadline to request an ‘ad’ or to provide your logo and contact information is the 15th of each month. The ad will appear in the next month’s billing statement.
- We can’t accept ad requests more than one month ahead of time, but will work with you for special events (ex: anniversary, sale, etc.)
- The City has the right to modify your ad in size, or to make reasonable modifications to make it fit better.
- Submit all requests via email to the City at businessads@ci.harrisburg.or.us
Please contact City Hall with questions at 541-995-6655.
